In the city of Los Angeles and around the beautiful state of California there are a number of very fine musicians and guitarists. One musician who stands out among the crowd is David Weaver.

David is a superb guitarist with a creative virtuosity that is unmatched in most circles of guitarists. David has a wonderful way of expressing his music to song lovers, and music lovers of all genres.  His technique and touch are quite expressive and he communicates while entertaining and creating beautiful sounds from his guitar.

Born in Lancaster, PA, Dave started playing guitar at the young age of eight. Motivated by the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and the Motown sounds of the 60's and 70's, Dave formulated and developed his love for R & B and Rock & Roll at this time.

At the age of 18,  Dave's formal  music education started when he went to school at the Montpelier Conservatory in Vermont. This is where his first introduction to jazz music, theory and harmony began.

Dave later moved to Boston and studied guitar at Berklee College of Music. This is where he was introduced to Jazz, Latin, Afro-Cuban and Brazilian music. Dave was influenced by many of the jazz greats such as George Benson, Pat Metheny, and John Coltrane.

Still wanting more,  Dave packed his bags and headed for sunny California. At the age of 22, Dave made his residence in Los Angeles, CA and continued his education and perfection of his craft at the famed Musician's Institute in Hollywood, CA.  At MI he perfected his jazz and bossa nova playing.

The most important things that came out of the Musician's Institute were the contacts of fellow musicians and his development of solo guitar playing. As a soloist Dave has created many wonderful arrangements of  Billy Joel, Elton John, and Stevie Wonder songs, just to name a few. When you view his videos you will see and hear his wonderful tributes to the great artists of the day.

Today Dave enjoys playing music all over the Southern California area. He has performed for private events at the Four Seasons Hotel (Beverly Hills) the Bel-Air Bay Club, Shutters Hotel, the Beverly Garland (now known as the Garland), and many of the fine private country clubs, such as the North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village.

Dave was the original and first solo guitarist to perform in the Terrace Lounge at the Sunset Tower Hotel, playing for more than 2 ½ years. The hotel is a popular hangout for the diverse community of West Hollywood.

Many musicians have long bios of themselves;  Dave's belief is to let the music tell the story.

Give a look and listen, the videos will tell the story.

David is extremely professional, always on time, and always ready to please.

Enjoy the journey.
